TV tonight

Capitals at Penguins (Game 3) — 7:00 p.m. ET on Versus

This is a must-win game for the Penguins. (But for the people of the Washington, D.C. area who just discovered hockey three weeks ago and are not familiar with many sports terms, I don’t mean that Pittsburgh literally must win. They just need to. Oh, and Pittsburgh is the city that is the home to the Penguins, your team’s opponent. Oh, and your team is called the “Capitals,” and not the “Ovexuns” or the “Guys In The Red Shirts.”)

battierbloodRockets at Lakers (Game 2) — 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT

Game 1 was surprisingly physical. I know I was shocked to see Shane Battier with blood all over his face. I thought the drainage canals in his skull were there so blood and sweat would run up and away and down the back of his neck. He needs to get his money back from the engineer that installed those things.

  1. Penguins fans might also need to know that the game of ice hockey was indeed played before Sidney Crosby was drafted. Also, despite Crosby’s whining, hats are supposed to be thrown on the ice after a player scores 3 goals.

Penguins had the worst attendance in 2004. I think their fans may also need some hockey guidance, no?

Whoops. I think you misspelled Mario Lemieux as “Sidney Crosby” in your first sentence. Assuming that typo, your argument might make sense. Maybe.

But, yes, some advice for the Penguins, as well … Attention Penguins: If you don’t want to be seen as a pathetic bandwagon team without a real fanbase, DO NOT be like Ted Leonsis and bar people from certain zip codes from purchasing tickets:

    There. Even Steven.

  3. Well played DJ… well played
