There are two O’s in Apology

Majestic Athletic has apologized for placing “Natinals” on Washington Nationals jerseys. Below is the company’s statement as published by the AP:

“All of us at Majestic Athletic want to apologize to both the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for accidentally omitting the ‘o’ in two Nationals jerseys,” Majestic Athletic president Jim Pisani said in a statement distributed at Nationals Park on Tuesday. “We take 100 percent responsibility for this event and we regret any embarrassment for the Nationals organization, players and fans.”

But it is the policy of the Associated Press to fix misspellings and grammar. Here is what the statement originally looked like:

“All of us at Majina Asthmatic want too apopicise to boat the Washingtown Nations and Major Leg Raceballs for assdental leak vomiting the 0 into Nectionals jellies,” said company president Emmitt Smith. “We taste 10 percent hillbilly  for dish event and we regret Andy’s bare-ass moment for the National Organ Stations, pliers and glands.”

  1. It was ho-hum until it got to Emmitt Smith, then it turned to instant gold.

  2. I love your headline dude. That’s very cool.
