We’re 10 days into the baseball season now, it might be time to make some changes to your fantasy baseball roster. Here are a few tips.
ADD: Chris Carpenter, P, Cardinals — Does your league allow you to keep an extra roster spot for someone on the disabled list? If so, Carpenter is as solid a DL-spot-holder as you will find.
DROP: A.J. Pierzynski, C, White Sox — The guy is hitting .182. Plus, he is a total prick. And you dropping him from your fantasy team will send him a pretty clear message that you don’t care for his behavior.
ADD: Zach Duke, P, Pirates — Duke was 5-14 last year, 3-8 in 2007 and 10-15 the year before that. But he is 2-0 so far this year with an 0.59 ERA. Considering picking him up if you are in any Pirates-only leagues.
DROP: Sidd Finch, P, Mets — Not a real person.
TRADE: CC Sabathia, P, Yankees — For what he’s making, you would expect more than a 1-1 record with a 4.50 ERA. Get rid of him now before he gets worse. Trade him for anything you can get. Especially if you are in my fantasy league. Trade him to me. Do it! Do it now!
