Four days into free agency and two of the biggest names on the market have yet to sign a contract.
Baltimore offered Ray Lewis 3 years, $24 million with $17 million guaranteed. He prayed about it. He wants more.
Arizona offered Kurt Warner 2 years, $20 million. He prayed about it. He wants closer to $30 million and an option for a third year.
Proverbs 28:25 says: “A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts the Lord will prosper.”
Lucky for God’s Linebacker(tm) and Warner, they’re not greedy and therefore would never stir up dissension. H-E-double-hockey-sticks, they probably don’t even want more money. It’s just that the Lord is making them ask for more. It’s His will. He is the Scott Boras of deities.
