What’s next for baseball?

Baseball has had one shameful era after another. Major league baseball banned black players until 1947. In the 1950s, players like Mickey Mantle took the field under the influence of alcohol. The ’60s and ’70s were tainted by “greenies.” The ’80s by cocaine. And from the late 1980s to today, steroids.

With the fallout from the steroids era seemingly nearing a close, baseball will enter a new era to one day regret. What will it be?

(By the way, I finally got this week’s poll up on the front page of the ol’ SportsPickle.)

  1. I voted for “Other”. Probably was Butt Plug related, none of that cannibal BS. Or at least deviant sex related. And it occurred near 4 am. When Kenny C. was drunk. Very drunk. Thanks, Jimmy Buffett! I am a Golden Landshark God! I love you, Peyton…
